Lifestyle Change Battle
I have to confess, the last 2 weeks have been so difficult for my healthy living lifestyle change. I feel like such a hypocrite. In recent posts I was so confident of my lifestyle change, but the last two weeks have proven detrimental. The twins were sick for over a week, I got sick, yada-yada-yada. The first week I handled it okay, but the second week I started cheating here and there and then used the excuse that I've already sabotaged my day, so go ahead and eat what you want. I've fallen back into faulty thinking and I realize when I'm doing it. I haven't worked out in almost a week due to different things. The good news is that I am looking forward to getting back into the gym on Thursday. That's the first time I've been able to say that in over a week. I just finished watching an episode of Heavy, which was a huge motivator and reminder of what my focus needs to be; getting healthy for life...so that I can LIVE LONG and HEALTHY! I haven't wanted to post this. I've wanted to keep it private and live in denial in a sense, but I realize that being honest with myself and with my friends via the virtual world is the best thing that I can do. Being honest with myself and you holds me accountable and wakes me up to the reality that I need to get back in the game. I'm afraid to weigh myself. I'm afraid I've flushed all my work thus far down the toilet because of the last two weeks. I'm going to weigh-in at the end of the month, so hopefully between now and then, (which I realize isn't long at all) I can get back on track so I won't have regrets from the month. But even if I do have regrets, it's not over...I'm not giving up!!!

You can do it, Candi! A couple of weeks out of a lifetime of change is nothing! And, sick family makes it very difficult.Enjoy the gym Thursday!
Life style change isn't easy. We all fall off the horse but the important thing is to get back on! I know that you can do it, friend.

Candi, You make me smile :) Thank you for being so honest with yourself and with us.
Now take a big deep breath and relax. You are doing a great job in a very hectic season of life! This new lifestyle is a process. And this is just part of the process. Perfection isn't a good goal. You've relaized where you've struggled so you are better aware and not going to repeat those mistakes.
I would suggest that you stop getting on a the scale at all. Allow some time to pass and judge your success on how you feel, your energy level, getting to 30 minutes on the elipiticycle. Ask yourself, are you a better wife and mother because of the choices your making about your health. That's how you judge success :)
Love you!
I think the secret to weight loss and staying committed for a lifetime, is to always get back on the wagon. You are going to fall off! We all do. The KEY is to GET BACK ON. Fall off, get back on, fall off, get back on. And forgive yourself for falling (or sometimes in my case JUMPING) off the wagon! And remember, it's for the long term, (your lifetime), not the short term (three weeks)... so don't let an occasional slip up cause you to give up! It will pay off in the long run. I feel your pain... tonight I had a waffle for dinner... so tomorrow back to protein and green veggies!
Girl you got this!!! You will do just fine just go forward from here and things will be better:)
