Valentine's Day 2013 & 35 week Update
This past Wednesday I was 35 weeks pregnant and Valentine's Day was just a day away. Valentine's Day doesn't tend to be anything special in our home, we try to make a habit of showing our love to one another on a regular basis. But, my sneaky sweet husband had different plans this year. Maybe being nearly full-term with his 3rd child helps get the romance going:) Anyway, it was Thursday night and I was honestly expecting to go to a local pancake supper with Steven and the kids to support our local high school band...and I was totally fine with that. But, at about 3 that afternoon some flowers arrive for me, 18 roses to be exact, and attached is a note informing me that we are going to dinner at our favorite restaurant in New Bern, NC and that childcare has already been arranged with my mom and brother. How sweet is my husband? It was so nice to enjoy what will probably be our last dinner out as a couple before Miss Elizabeth arrives.
And speaking of Miss Elizabeth, I had my 35 week checkup last Thursday and wouldn't you know it, she has turned breech! She was head down for all this time and she decided last Sunday night to turn head up. Please join me in praying that she will turn and turn soon, because I have a feeling she's going to come sooner than later. I'm already dilated 2 cm and half way effaced (I know, too much information really, but you ladies know what I'm talking about). I know these things don't necessarily mean imminent labor or anything, but still, things are getting in gear. I got to have an ultrasound to confirm her position and it was so great to see my beautiful baby. She has sweet, chubby cheeks already and the most beautiful pouty lips I've ever seen, I have no clue where she got them. I'm so excited to meet this little girl, but not for another week and a half I pray and not until she turns.
Here's a picture of my lovely roses from my dear Valentine and a 35 week pic of the pregnancy.
