Steven went back to work on Tuesday and bless his heart, he's been pitiful. He misses his babies during the day. He called me at 10 am that first morning to see how they were. He came home and immediately asked for his babies then he wanted to give Berkley his bottle right away. He said it was difficult to get back into the swing of things at work after being gone for 5 weeks, but I think he's feeling more like his self now. He had his first night on-call last night - Steven's mom stayed with me so I wouldn't have to be responsible for the feeds all by myself (thanks Mema). I miss Steven already; he's been an amazing helper during the past 5 weeks and not having him here now really helps me to see just how much he's done.
The babies had their 1 month doctor's appointment today and you won't believe how much they weigh. At birth (just 5 weeks ago) Berkley weight 6 lbs 1 oz and Meredith weighed 5 lbs 2oz. Today, Berkley weighed 9 lbs 8 oz and Meredith weighed 7 lbs 15 oz. WOW, can you believe that??!! Everyone is perfectly healthy! I just can't believe how much they've grown, I just wasn't expecting them to be so big.
